Our fourth graders at School 22 had an out-of-this-world experience celebrating the Ellen Ochoa Barbie! To honor the historic astronaut and engineer, our bright students stepped into the shoes of scientists by building their very own telescope and learning exactly how they work.
We were thrilled to partner with the incredible group Latinas in Stem, who brought amazing volunteers into our classrooms to lead the sessions and inspire our students. From understanding lenses to dreaming about the cosmos, our future space explorers are ready to reach for the stars!
